I promised I wouldn't let you know that he knew.

I broke a promise and I'm lying to him. I'm a horrible friend.

you're not a horrible friend. this is a huge thing. one of us is about to have to drop another huge bomb on his head. i can do it.

You had to tell him he died. And I knew Callaghan better if it comes down to that, I should tell him.

I'm going to try to avoid it, I just... don't know if he'll let me.

if you can hold out, he can talk to me about it. we're going to have to talk anyway.

Do you want me there? Moral support or backing up what you say?

It's just a lot of heavy stuff and I don't feel like you should have to do it alone if you don't want to.

so we have a few options. you can be there in person to urge him to talk to me, he can come start the conversation on his own, or i can do it and out you. i have to be there for this, even if i'm not alone.

I don't want to be outed. I'd rather out myself, I think.

He seems to have backed off for now, but he definitely knows something is up.

I think we should tell him if only so I don't have to try to lie to him again, because I'm pretty sure he's not gonna let it drop completely, but he's your brother. If you'd rather try to avoid it, that's okay too.

he's gonna wanna talk tomorrow. he's bringing me home breakfast...

[ It takes her longer than she'd like to get over, with some stuff she scraped up for messing with chemicals and pigments and so forth, and also some cookies.

Look, she likes to bake, okay? It's soothing. They're a little burnt on the bottom (UNHEARD OF!!!!) because her equipment wasn't really very good, but they're cookies.

But she does get over, and offers an arm for a hug as soon as she lays eyes on Hiro ]

[yaaaaaaaay hugs. as soon as she raises that arm, hiro's accepting the offer. he kind of needs it right now, what with being a nervous wreck.]

[ She needs it too, honestly. Which makes her feel bad - Hiro's still a kid, he shouldn't have to be dealing with her freakouts or whatever.

[he shouldn't be smiling so sadly at her, he tells himself, but he shakes his head and just tries to lead her over to the lab.]

Hey, I benefit from it too. Tadashi's staying in town tonight.
