I'm sure he'll understand, Hiro. Maybe not right away, but -- he can't fault you for having emotions.
Do you know what my team and I did after my teacher was killed?

The people responsible are very, very dead.
Now, they just happened to be international criminals who would have been a danger to everyone if they hadn't been stopped, but -- I specifically requested to help. I went against the orders I was given to make sure I was there to help carry it out.

We killed them.
Well, as much as they could be killed, anyways. One of them is technically immortal, but he's in pieces and buried ten feet under.
[ She'll leave out the part where she also helped kill them AGAIN during the war hahahaha ]

It is what it is. And I won't pretend like I didn't get any closure out of it, either.
Point being -- feeling the way you did isn't uncommon or strange. And in the end, that experience made you a better person.

Well, if you do decide to tell him -- at least the air will be clear, for real this time.

Sometimes there's a relief in knowing the whole truth. Even if it's not the truth you were hoping for.
