it's annoying. i can handle myself, and he knows it now. so... i don't know. maybe knowing i'm fighting crime back home will help him chill out and start doing things for himself.

I'd say that's more than being okay with it.

it was a little harder to take the compliment knowing what he still hasn't been told about, but it still felt pretty good.

For what it's worth, I don't think knowing all of that would change his mind about what you're doing.

it's not really the being-good-with-the-superhero-stuff i'm worried about him rethinking. more the "hero" thing.

I'm sure he knows that grief makes us do things we regret.

I don't know that there's ever a "right" time to talk about that sort of thing.
